Hello Adventurers! This time around we'll be hiking the challenging and beautiful Mount Ophir in Malaysia!
Mount Ophir (or Gunung Ledang) is a 1,276m tall mountain situated at northwest Johor in Malaysia. It is one of the most popular and challenging mountains in Malaysia that can be done in a day; commonly used as a training ground for aspiring mountain trekkers. For this trek, we will be taking the main Lagenda trail also known as the Sagil Trail due to its proximity to Sagil Village.
Mount Ophir is the 64th highest mountain in Malaysia and arguably the most climbed mountain in the country. It is believed to be one of the places in the world that is richest in flora species. It has a 50 meters high waterfall "Puteri Waterfalls" with a wide drop of 50 meters. You will see giant butterflies, brightly coloured spiders amidst wild tropical flowers of bright yellow, crimson and orange.
